Bro Bob Mitchell, our Reigning Master, travelled through to his Mother Lodge, Lodge Stivestoune Thistle and Rose No169 in August and was accompanied on his visit by Bro Tom Stott, RWM of Lodge Water of Leith 1267 and HM of 1428.

On hearing that Bob was returning to his roots for the night, RWPGM Archibald Chalmers headed a large deputation of Provincial Grand Lodges from Ayrshire, Glasgow (Alistair Henderson PGM), Dumbartonshire (Tom Lekenby PGM), Perthshire West (John Brockie PGM) and Argyll and the Isles (Donald Banatyne SPGM), into Lodge Stivestoune Thistle and Rose No.169 in honour of this grand occasion  :o)

After welcoming the deputation, RWM Stewart Gray carried on with the business of the evening.

Secretary Robert Cramb (Snr) presented a gift to Bro. Rev. John Lafferty to mark his retirement and the work he has carried out for the Lodge.

The RWM, RWPGM and Bro William Shepparton Past PGM of Glasgow congratulated Bro John.  RWPGM Archibald Chalmers then delivered a talk on Francis Love, a poet and member of 169. RWM Stewart Gray then conferred Honorary Membership of 169 on RWPGM Archibald Chalmers for his service to 169 and the Province of Ayrshire, the RWPGM suitably replied and thanked the Lodge.
